John Tallach High School Vacancies and Entry Requirements

Form 1
Form 1 enrolment is done through the Ministry of Education’s EMAP platform: this is usually available after publication of the Grade 7 results. No applications are accepted direct at school. Once a place has been offered through EMAP, a registration pack will be sent out detailing all the required procedures and documentation.
Prospective boarding learners require a recommendation from their previous school.
Lower 6
Lower 6 applications are to be made direct to school, in person/writing/by email, immediately after publication of the ZIMSEC ‘O’ Level results. A copy of the ‘O’ Level results must be sent or brought to school. Once a place has been offered, a registration pack will be issued detailing all the required procedures and documentation.
Prospective boarding learners require a recommendation from their previous school.

The students have a variety of uniform options, including jerseys and blazers, weekend and sport uniforms, and Sabbath uniforms.
The school badge must be embroidered on all dresses, blouses, shirts, jerseys, blazers, lab coats and dust coats for school wear. Please note that the correct version of the school badge has a black background, not a blue background.
Watches should be plain and of simple design.
The black blazer for Forms 1 – 4 is optional.
If in doubt about colors please check with the school as incorrect colors will not be accepted.
Girls are strongly encouraged to have long natural hair. Hair may be plaited in simple free hand styles or pushed back.
