Thekwane high school is a top notch private boarding school located at about 15 km from the town of plumtree at a village called Tekwane. The village and school are named from the river Thekwane which was named after the Thekwane (Lightning) bird. Today the school boasts of producing some of the best students in academics and sports in country, ranking as one of the best schools in the country.

Logo Overview

The bird on the logo represents the name of the river and the place where the school is built but most importantly it represents freedom which the student will have when studying at the institution. The statement ‘Qondani Ekukhanyeni’ means that the students must head towards a brighter future using the tool of education. The bright green color on the logo represent the vegetation which the place is rich in and then the small bridge below the bird represent the thekwane bridge and river in which the school was named after.
